GenDx Signs Global Reseller Agreement with Thermo Fisher Scientific for QuantStudio qPCR Instruments

GenDx has signed a global reseller agreement with Thermo Fisher Scientific assigning GenDx as a non-exclusive reseller of Applied Biosystems QuantStudio real-time PCR systems, including the QuantStudio 5, QuantStudio 6 Flex, and QuantStudio 7 Flex. The reseller agreement also includes service contracts in case of Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) typing and chimerism monitoring use. Under the agreement, local distributors of GenDx are authorized to supply the above-mentioned QuantStudio systems and service contracts in their respective countries.

The agreement enables GenDx and its local distributors to expand support to laboratories specializing in hematology and transplantation immunology. QuantStudio systems are compatible with GenDx KMRtype®/KMRtrack® reagents and KMRengine® software. Together, the instruments, reagents and software form a complete workflow for monitoring the chimeric status of bone marrow and stem cell recipients. Through this agreement, GenDx is now also able to better address the needs of laboratories performing low-resolution HLA typing for solid organ transplantation. The QuantStudio systems is a comprehensive and versatile set of instrument that each combine high accurate measurements with a very user intuitive interface.

Dr. Wietse Mulder, CEO of GenDx, commented: “We are very pleased to expand our partnership with Thermo Fisher Scientific to include the suite of QuantStudio real-time PCR instruments. The agreement strengthens our pioneer status in the field of chimerism monitoring and establishes GenDx as the worldwide leader of chimerism monitoring solutions using quantitative PCR. This agreement also fits our company’s mission; being an independent organization respecting our trusted and highly valued business partners. At GenDx, our efforts are focused on molecular diagnostics solutions and we combine scientific innovation with day-to-day reliability in products for diagnostics, ultimately leading to a better outcome of transplantation”.
