Shaping the path ahead for the biotech innovation climate, together with members

Last Thursday, hollandbio’s rocksolid innovation climate team welcomed hollandbio members to the office in The Hague. We came together to connect and explore what the current surge of government visions, strategies, action plans, acts, and agendas means for the biotech sector and exchange ideas on how we can turn this political momentum into real progress together.

These are turbulent times. China plays by the law of the strongest; the United States is guarding its territory; South America is on the rise; and Europe is eager to show leadership. Hollandbio keeps a cool head and focuses on what truly makes the difference for biotech companies in the Netherlands. Our commitment is crystal clear: ensure that all conditions for biotech innovation are in place, so entrepreneurs and companies can move their innovations from lab to society as fast as possible. That means access to appropriate financing at every stage of development, smooth and effective knowledge transfer, and an entrepreneurial climate that attracts biotech companies and talent.

The meeting sparked lively exchanges: members brought in real-world cases, pointed out what slows them down today, and highlighted where Europe’s plans could unlock real progress tomorrow. Their insights help us sharpen our advocacy and focus on what truly moves the needle towards a strong innovation climate. On behalf of the entire hollandbio team, thank you to everyone who took the time to join us in The Hague. And for those who couldn’t make it, a recap will be shared by email shortly. If you have questions or ideas to share, feel free to reach out to hollandbio’s Dora or Max
