HollandBIO welcomes Aminoverse as a new member
HollandBIO is proud to announce that Aminoverse has joined the HollandBIO community! Aminoverse B.V. is a biotechnology company founded in January 2020 and consists of a team of scientists and investors with over 30 years of cumulative experience in enzyme R&D. Their declared goal is the development of enzyme-based products and applications for people and the planet guided by artificial intelligence.
There are far more enzyme types in nature than stars in the universe, each with its own set of features which renders them useful in medicine for the production of pharmaceuticals, in food for the production of lactose-free dairy products, in food to make agriculture more climate-friendly and in homecare to allow washing at room temperature.
An example of „enzyme-based application for people” is the Corona Antibody Testing Service under the Brand “AELYSA Bioassays”. Aminoverse is the first company to offer a testing service where one drop of blood is sufficient. Their “AELYSA Corona Antibody Test Kit” not only detects conventional antibodies against the inside of the coronavirus (nucleocapsid protein) but also antibodies that bind the virus surface (spike protein). In most cases, these spike proteins targeting antibodies have neutralizing effects on the virus that render SARS-CoV-2 harmless and grant the person immunity.
Besides, Aminoverse offer enzyme R&D as a service provider for start-ups and large corporations alike. The service portfolio reaches from genetic engineering over enzyme production and purification towards enzyme evolution and assay development.
