Help shape the future of European food and feed safety

EU Biotech Act, Voedsel en materialen 24 september 2025

Last week, the European Commission opened a call for evidence on a new EU Biotech Act “omnibus” – a package of rule changes to make EU food and feed law smarter, clearer, and faster. The commission is asking for ideas to speed up access for biological crop protection products and biocides and suggestions to clarify and simplify legal requirements for feed additives, fermentation products and food safety and hygiene. Until October 14th, biotech companies, food researchers and producers can help shape how Europe produces food, protects crops, and brings biotech innovations to market. Share your feedback here!
