It’s high time for the finest biotech event of the Netherlands: the HollandBIO Year Event. With a jam-packed program of innovation, inspiring entrepreneurship and a good dose of humor, we thank our members and closest contacts for their endeavors.

We are very glad and proud to present our two keynote speakers:

• Jaide Jensen, Ph.D; Program Director at Ginkgo Bioworks, a rapidly growing and privately held American biotech company founded in 2009 by scientists from MIT, also known as ‘The Organism Company’, that uses the most advanced technology on the planet—biology—to grow better products.
• Emil D. Kakkis, M.D., Ph.D.; CEO, President and Founder at Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical, a biopharmaceutical company founded in 2010 and focused on developing novel products for the treatment of rare and ultra-rare diseases, with a focus on serious, debilitating genetic diseases.

To top it all off, we are very happy to announce that State Secretary for Economic Affairs and Climate Policy Mona Keijzer will attend the HollandBIO Year Event 2021. She will be talking to biotech entrepreneurs about themes such as valorisation, financing, start-ups and scale-ups – and of course also with you when you sign up! Erik van den Berg (CEO AM-Pharma) and Veronique de Bruijn (CEO Photanol) will also take part in the (Dutch) interview led by our very own Annemiek Verkamman.

The Year Event will be broadcast live from the Pakhuis de Zwijger venue and participants will have the opportunity to network digitally via the Hopin platform.With that we have a nice complete program, to which we are very much looking forward!

When can I start networking?

The Hopin platform will be open from 9 am untill 9 pm. This means you can already start networking before the sessions start at the day of the event. In Hopin platform you can:

– Watch the plenary session

– Click on an attendee to connect

– Get in 1-on-1 network sessions of max. 20 min. using ‘Networking’
