Bridging Science and Market – Biosolutions for Sustainable Competitiveness
Van derden29/09/26
How can Europe translate scientific excellence into scalable biosolutions – and build a globally competitive bioeconomy?
On 29 September, Wageningen University & Research, European Biosolutions Coalition, and VNO-NCW will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, investors, and researchers to explore this challenge. Hosted at one of Europe’s leading universities in biosolutions research, and in one of Europe’s frontrunner countries in the field, the conference will draw directly on the Dutch experience in bridging science, innovation, and market deployment.
The conference will focus on how to move from breakthrough science to market uptake – and what it takes to build a world-class biosolutions ecosystem in Europe. This includes the full value chain: from research and talent, to investment, regulatory frameworks, and market creation.
The programme combines high-level policy discussions with concrete market perspectives. Through “reverse pitching” sessions, corporates, investors, and foundations will share what they are looking for in next-generation biosolutions, while policy-focused discussions will explore how to strengthen Europe’s biosolutions ecosystem and global competitiveness. The day will also provide the opportunity to engage directly with many of Europe’s most promising biosolutions start-ups. These will be featured both in dedicated pitching sessions and showcased in an exhibition at Plus Ultra II – the innovation and incubation center on the Wageningen Campus.
