Een fijne steun in de rug voor de World Health Organisation (WHO), die in het kader van de European Immunisation Week (23-29 april) ook extra aandacht vraagt voor het belang van vaccinatie. De week heeft als thema \u201cvaccinatie als individueel recht en een gezamenlijke verantwoordelijkheid\u201d. HollandBIO is helemaal in haar nopjes met de gemeenschappelijke boodschap: infectieziekten voorkomen is immers beter dan genezen!<\/p>\n<p>In Nederland beschermen wij al sinds jaar en dag onze kinderen tegen nare infectieziekten via het Rijksvaccinatieprogramma. Maar dankzij nieuwe vaccinaties en vaccinatieschema\u2019s kunnen we tegenwoordig veel meer mensen in verschillende levensfasen beschermen, van baby\u2019s tot ouderen. HollandBIO vindt het daarom hoog tijd dat we in Nederland een nieuwe, levenslange vaccinatievisie en -strategie ontwikkelen. Wist je bijvoorbeeld dat vaccinatie&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u2026\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rAGHXMq9ttw\">naast jezelf, ook je broertjes, zusjes, vader, moeder, opa\u2019s en oma\u2019s beschermt?<\/a><\/li>\n<li>\u2026\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=GUNzEsHEMv8\">tijdens de zwangerschap extra bescherming biedt voor de baby?<\/a><\/li>\n<li>\u2026\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=QvPxxCMTF60\">kan helpen om gezonder oud te worden?<\/a><\/li>\n<li>\u2026\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.who.int\/en\/news-room\/fact-sheets\/detail\/immunization-coverage\">jaarlijks 2-3 miljoen levens redt?<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Alleen als we de handen ineenslaan, maken we een kans in de strijd tegen infectieziekten.
