De milieucommissie (ENVI) van het Europees Parlement stemt v\u00f3\u00f3r het <a href=\"https:\/\/food.ec.europa.eu\/plants\/genetically-modified-organisms\/new-techniques-biotechnology_en\">voorstel <\/a>rond Nieuwe Genomische Technieken (NGT) waarmee de EU het mogelijk maakt om met hulp van moderne technieken als CRISPR-Cas gewassen te ontwikkelen voor de Europese markt. Na het eerdere groene licht van de landbouwcommissie (AGRI) in december en nu de milieucommissie, gaat het gehele Europese Parlement naar verwachting op 7 februari stemmen over het voorstel. Voordat deze stemming plaatsvindt, kunnen Europarlementari\u00ebrs nog een trits aan aanpassingen voorstellen via amendementen.
