Wat HollandBIO betreft broodnodig om als Europa koploper te worden op de ontwikkeling \u00e8n benutting van excellente en technische kennis. Nederland, doen we mee?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018A <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/sites\/default\/files\/research_and_innovation\/strategy_on_research_and_innovation\/documents\/ec_rtd_pact-for-research-and-innovation.pdf\">Pact<\/a><\/strong> for Research and Innovation in Europe\u2019 is opgesteld door de EC om verdere implementatie van de Europese onderzoeksruimte, ook wel European Research Area (ERA), op nationaal niveau te ondersteunen. De EU wil de ERA zo inrichten dat lidstaten meer mogelijkheden krijgen voor het makkelijker en effici\u00ebnter uitwisselen van best practices, het faciliteren van samenwerkingen en het investeren in gezamenlijke onderzoeks- en innovatiedoelen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ophogen R&amp;D-investeringen<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HollandBIO juicht het onderzoeks- en innovatiepact van harte toe, en dan met name het doel om de lidstaten aan te zetten tot het opschroeven van hun R&amp;D-investeringen tot tenminste 3% van het BBP. Dat is namelijk hard nodig in Nederland. Wij berichtten al <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollandbio.nl\/nieuws\/nederlandse-rd-investeringen-ver-onder-oeso-gemiddelde\/\">eerder<\/a><\/strong> dat de R&amp;D-investeringen in Nederland op een magere 2,16% blijven hangen, dat is zelfs ruim onder het OESO-gemiddelde van 2,5%. Andere partijen waaronder VNO-NCW en TNO delen <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollandbio.nl\/nieuws\/kenniscoalitie-pleit-voor-stevige-investeringen-in-onderzoek-en-innovatie\/\">dezelfde ambitie<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Europa als koploper<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Als we in Europa onze kennispositie op het gebied van sleuteltechnologie\u00ebn zoals biotechnologie willen verzilveren, dan moeten de Europese R&amp;D-investeringen in lijn raken met andere wereldwijde koplopers. Afnemende investeringen in onderzoek en innovatie kunnen de toekomstige kennis- en economische positie van Europa in de weg staan, waardoor we het onderspit delven tegenover de Verenigde Staten en China. HollandBIO staat dan ook voor de volle 100% achter dit onderzoeks- en innovatiepact. We roepen de Nederlandse overheid op het pact te omarmen en tot ondertekening over te gaan.
