Ons land heeft met dit onderzoeks- en innovatieprogramma van de Europese Unie ongeveer <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rijksoverheid.nl\/actueel\/nieuws\/2021\/03\/04\/955-miljard-euro-eu-financiering-beschikbaar-voor-onderzoek-en-innovatie\">\u20ac5 miljard<\/a><\/strong> aangetrokken, van de totaal \u20ac63,5 miljard aan onderzoeksgelden. Zo wordt HollandBIO-lid Mimetas als lichtend voorbeeld aangehaald als \u00e9\u00e9n van die Nederlandse bedrijven die Horizon2020-gelden hebben ontvangen. Horizon Europe wordt het nieuwe Horizon 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De Horizon-programma\u2019s zijn in het leven geroepen om wetenschappelijke kennis te vergroten en economische groei te versnellen. Inmiddels gloort er een nieuw Horizon-programma aan de horizon. Horizon Europe wordt het nieuwe Horizon 2020. De komende zeven jaar wordt er via dit programma \u20ac95,5 mld. beschikbaar gesteld voor ondernemers en wetenschappers; dat is 30% meer dan de Horizon2020. Op 18 maart vindt het kick-off event voor het thema gezondheid plaats.
