De samenwerking moet leiden tot een kandidaat-medicijn, waarna Roche verantwoordelijk zal zijn voor de verdere (klinische) ontwikkeling en wereldwijde commercialisering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Conform de overeenkomst ontvangt Lead Pharma na tekenen een betaling van \u20ac 10 miljoen en komt het in aanmerking voor onderzoeks-financiering. Lead Pharma kan in de toekomst betalingen ontvangen die gekoppeld zijn aan het behalen van een aantal specifieke onderzoeks- en ontwikkelingsresultaten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De totale betalingen kunnen oplopen tot \u20ac 260 miljoen, plus royalty&#8217;s op de wereldwijde verkoop van de te ontwikkelen medicijnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cOnze ambitie is om levensveranderende behandelingen voor pati\u00ebnten te ontwikkelen. We zijn zeer verheugd over de samenwerking met Roche om dit doel gezamenlijk te kunnen realiseren \u201d,<\/em> zegt Frans van den Berg, Chief Executive Officer van Lead Pharma. <em>&#8220;Samenwerking met farmaceutische partijen vormt een van de pijlers van onze strategie, en deze samenwerking onderstreept de toegevoegde waarde van Lead Pharma\u2019s innovatiekracht.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Arthur Oubrie, Chief Scientific Officer van Lead Pharma, vult aan: <em>\u201cDit is het tweede project waarin we met een van de grootste mondiale farmaceutische bedrijven samenwerken. De manier waarop wij nieuwe projecten selecteren, de werking van medicinale stoffen onderzoeken in farmacologische modellen, en onze hoogstaande medicinale chemie, waren essentieel bij de ontwikkeling van dit project tot aan dit stadium.
