De coronacrisis betekent een stroomversnelling voor het proces en nieuwe technologie\u00ebn die slimmere vaccins moeten opleveren. De verwachting is dat we daar ook bij andere ziektes de vruchten van gaan plukken. Maar wat is daar allemaal voor nodig?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tijdswinst is mogelijk, maar komt niet vanzelf<br><\/strong>Bij HollandBIO maken we ons al jaren hard voor een versnelde en verbeterde ontwikkeling en inzet van vaccins. Om blijvende lessen te trekken uit de coronacrisis voor snellere en betere vaccinontwikkeling, is het nodig dat we actie ondernemen. Dat begint al met het erkennen van het belang van infectieziekten. Bijvoorbeeld door het vrijmaken van financiering voor de ontwikkeling \u00e9n de implementatie van vaccins. De coronacrisis laat zien dat ook in het beoordelingstraject tijdswinst mogelijk is, door sneller handelen van de EMA en de FDA. En in de uiteindelijke inzet is nog altijd veel winst te boeken door de plaats van vaccins in de zorg beter te beschrijven.
