Plantbased\nleader Upfield announced plans to build a new state-of-the-art Food Science\nCentre and Beyond Meat will open a new co-manufacturing facility of its first\nproduction site outside the US. Both Upfield and Beyond Meat have chosen the\nNetherlands to realize their plans. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both\ncompanies want to start with their activities in 2021. Upfield explains it has\nchosen for the Netherlands, because of the Wageningen ecosystem. Wageningen is\nconsidered as the Silicon Valley of the food industry and a world-class\nlocation for food innovation. Wageningen University is ranked as the world\u2019s\nleading University in Agri-Food. Upfield will invest \u20ac50 million for their Food\nScience Center. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
