With this approval, Kite\u2019s European manufacturing facility, designed and dedicated to the manufacture of individualized cell therapies, is now fully operational.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=IN8hLsgyZeM\n<\/div><figcaption> Time-lapse video of the construction of Kite\u2019s cell therapy manufacturing facility located outside of Amsterdam. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n<p><!--StartFragment--><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cKite is focused foremost on the needs of patients living with cancer and we are proud to now manufacture cell therapy directly in Europe,\u201d said Christi Shaw, Chief Executive Officer of Kite. \u201cThis facility will benefit both patients and healthcare professionals, allowing Yescarta to reach European treatment centers more quickly and reducing the time it takes to reach patients by almost a week.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kite has nearly 90 qualified treatment centers in 16 countries across Europe and Israel. The new European facility sits next to one of Europe\u2019s largest airports, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. This central location, with its transport links to the region, will reduce the delivery time to and from treatment centers.
