MIT is hosting a series of challenges to empower the broader\ncommunity and we invite you to join actors in Massachusetts to take action on\nthe COVID-19 crisis. This could become a great example\nof joining forces between Netherlands and Massachusetts, like the Memorandum of\nUnderstanding signed in the Summer of 2019 between these two areas also tends to establish. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can join the MIT COVID-19 Challenge virtual event that starts Friday, April 3\ntill Sunday, April 5. This challenge is part of a series of&nbsp;virtual\nhackathons with partners from across the MIT and healthcare ecosystems. In this\nevent, participants will form teams to generate solutions for the most pressing\ntechnical, social, and financial issues caused by the COVID-19 outbreak. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two topics that will be\ncovered during the challenge: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Protecting Vulnerable Populations<\/strong> <em>How to protect vulnerable populations\nfrom the effects of COVID-19?<\/em><em><\/em><\/li><li><strong>Supporting the&nbsp;Health System<\/strong> <em>How to support hospitals with shortage\nof staff, supplies, and resources?<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are up for #MITCOVID19Challenge and you want to join the community in leaning into these issues, please sign up <a href=\"https:\/\/covid19challenge.mit.edu\/\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>.
