{"id":12700,"date":"2019-04-09T18:13:44","date_gmt":"2019-04-09T16:13:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hollandbio.nl\/?p=12700"},"modified":"2019-04-10T00:18:55","modified_gmt":"2019-04-09T22:18:55","slug":"update-modernisering-biotechnologiebeleid-naar-de-tweede-kamer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hollandbio.nl\/en\/nieuws\/update-modernisering-biotechnologiebeleid-naar-de-tweede-kamer\/","title":{"rendered":"Update Modernisering Biotechnologiebeleid naar de Tweede Kamer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Afgelopen week stuurde Staatssecretaris Van Veldhoven een\nupdate van de Modernisering van het Biotechnologiebeleid naar de Tweede Kamer.\nNaast een algemene update geeft de brief ook inzicht in de vervolgstappen om\ntot een modern biotechnologiebeleid te komen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De Staatssecretaris geeft aan dat ze toe wil naar een beleid\ndat ruimte biedt aan de kansen van de biotechnologie voor een gezonde en\nduurzame samenleving. Uiteraard zonder daarbij de veiligheid uit het oog te\nverliezen. In 2018 zijn in samenwerking met stakeholders de bouwstenen voor een\nmodern biotech beleid aangeleverd. De komende twee jaar wil de staatssecretaris\ndeze samen met het veld verder concretiseren. Daarbij is er zowel aandacht voor\nkorte termijn doelen, zoals optimalisatie van de uitvoeringspraktijk van de\nvergunningverlening in Nederland, als voor de langere termijn gericht op aanpassing\nvan het Europees biotechnologiebeleid. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Daarnaast blijft Nederland zich in Brussel inzetten om de moderne veredelingsmethoden binnen handbereik van de Europese Agri-Food sector te krijgen. Modernisering van het huidige biotechnologiebeleid kan HollandBIO niet snel genoeg gaan. Als we in Nederland de vruchten willen plukken van de baanbrekende ontwikkelingen in de biotechnologie, zoals van cel- en gentherapie en plantenveredeling, is aanpassing van het nationale en Europese biotechnologiebeleid essentieel.
