Today, we are proud to announce that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scdiscoveries.com\/?utm_campaign=HollandBIO&amp;utm_source=hollandbio&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_content=new_member\"><strong>Single Cell Discoveries<\/strong><\/a> B.V. has joined the community by becoming a member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Single Cell Discoveries is a spin-off from the\nHubrecht Institute and Oncode Institute, launched in September&nbsp; 2018. The company offers a complete service\nsolution for single-cell RNA sequencing, with current customers in over 7\ncountries and more than 50 institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Single-cell (RNA) sequencing is used to study\nthe transcriptome of individual cells in order to find rare cell types and\ninteresting subpopulations in a tissue of interest. It offers a much higher\nresolution view of biology. This in contrast to \u2018traditional\u2019 bulk RNA\nsequencing, which results in an average transcriptome profile of several thousands\nto millions of cells. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Single-cell sequencing has a diverse range of\napplications:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Cell type marker\ndiscovery<\/li><li>Analysis of tumor\nheterogeneity<\/li><li>Cell type identification<\/li><li>Stem-cell analysis in\ndevelopmental biology<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Single Cell Discoveries team has the means\nand experience to assist their customers with the analysis of hundreds to many\nthousands of cells individually. The company offers support on the complete\nworkflow: from project design to sample prep and data analysis.
